Default NEWBIE to Puerto Pollensa

Hola everybody

Thank you to Zelda for adding me to the Site.

Due to PP at the end of June for our first visit.

We are in an Apartment close to the Illa D'or. My two children & Partners are in Apartments past the Marina. Gap around 2 km.

Can anyone please recommend a good central Meeting Point? Bar or Café please?

Also can anyone recommend any local bars, restaurants that might tempt us to stray away from the Front or Square please?

Gracias

In terms of a meeting point either Bar Coral or Rustic would probably fit the bill.
For local bars & restaurants - I have written a trip report fairly recently (probably 2 or 3 posts down from this one) that will mention a few places e.g. Tofol, El Posito, el meson etc. & I'm sure other members will suggest some more places. Hope you enjoy your hols !

A handy bar and restaurant near where you are staying is Laguna. It's run by the fabulous and friendly Miguel and has the big bonus of having a gorgeous swimming pool too (with sunloungers!)
They serve snacks as well as main meals so it's a great place to base yourselves for a while.

Your first visit...how exciting, you will love it?
For the evenings that you may want to stay closer to "home" we found this place fitted the bill.

Laguna also recommend, although we mostly just used it during the day for lunches, so close to you too.
Nostalgia for drinks...and if you are in the mood for a late night!
For the other evenings, too numerous to mention, you will be spoiled for choice. Enjoy.

PS Meant to say, also recommend Bar Coral restaurant (nearer you),Hotel Bahia on the Pinewalk or halfway(?) Hotel Capri restaurant, all amazing.

If you like cocktails, a choice of gins and good wine you could meet at La Batucarda in the evening pre dinner. It is in Clle Llevant next to Naciente. Open from 19.30 until very late! Rafa's brother runs Laguna near to you. Also good for nightcap!

Manolos at the side of the church in the square. Genuine locals bar with a warm welcome from Manolo. Great place.
