Casa Vila Di Mare.
So Casa Vila Di Mare opened last night and we were fortunate to be invited. This new restaurant is on the site of the old El Ancla, although i was very sad to see the old building demolished i must say that i loved the decor of the new one. Some of the staff we knew from Vila Cuisines other 2 establishments so we are sure everything will live up to the Vila family's high standards. The free drinks and food was very much appreciated as was the lovely company we shared it with, you know who you are . Here are a few photos taken during a very enjoyable evening :-

I agree sparky the new decor looks gorgeous ....and the view over the bay is wonderful. We sat and watched the sunbeds finally being put out
Good to have a restaurant like this down our neck of the woods!
Great opening night party ...head's still very wuzzy!

Sparky, we are coming out 2nd July and would like to eat here on our first night as staying next door at The Romantic, and after a long day (up at 2am) for the flight, we do not want to be walking down to the town. Would you recommend we book a table?? Thanks in advance.

So upset not to have been out to accept invite! Anyone know if they plan to stay open all year like Marina?

I asked them this today and they said they will wait and see ..they have got plenty of indoor space to do it though. I guess it's a case of them waiting and see what the demand is, but I would imagine with Casa Vila and Marina Brasserie open all year the new restaurant may be a bit too far out of town.

That's what I thought, it would be spreading themselves a bit thinly.

Arriving tomorrow! Looks good and can't wait to try it. If it comes up to Matina standard it will be great to have that quality down our way.

Opening night was pizza and nibbles so I've not had an entire meal there yet. The menu is a mix between Casa Vila and Marina Brasserie. Plenty of choice from sandwiches, salads, pizza or a complete 3 course meal. They are also going to be doing breakfasts. I think its going to be very chilled during the day...so you could just pop in for a coffee or beer from the beach. In the evenings it looks so beautiful with the tables laid up in white and teal colours ..and the to die for view....that it would be the perfect spot for a romantic dinner.
They had me at the pizza
