Default Best bar to watch Euro 16 games in PP?

Hi all,

Visiting next week for 10 days & would like to catch up with at least one Euro 16 game.

Any suggestions on best bar/restaurants showing these?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks - I suppose I was looking for recommendations/forum-users' favourites & why?

Cheers.

Hi Rookie66, Two of the bars mentioned here are in the Llenaire area, ok if you are staying there but if you are in a central location then I would suggest looking around the main square area where you will get large screens and in a lot of cases outside seating, it also depends on which games you wish to watch but all the Spanish bars will be showing the England games if Spain are not playing at the same time.

Bon Dia and Palms are in Gommar so not as far out as Llenaire .

Cafe Algar in the square is great for putting on the matches. You can enjoy a cocktail or two whilst you watch.

Default When does it end ?

As you can tell I am not a football fan and I recall a couple of years ago that some of the bars stopped live entertainment to cover the football matches.

Yes scotslizzy I agree, it will be a shame if bars stop live entertainment for it. Although we were out in 2012 when Spain won and it was quite exciting but I think it will be annoying if EVERY flipping match is on in EVERY flipping bar! It would be great if some bars could be footy free!

I agree it is annoying when all the music is stopped for the football

I think all the knockouts will be finished by the time we come over so hopefully not so many matches on !

I agree, Cafe Algar is a great spot to watch a game and enjoy a drink. Having experienced the fantastic antmosphere in PP during Euro 2012 and also the 2014 World Cup, I can't wait

It's certainly not the same atmosphere this year, hasn't been since Tony and his boys left, quite a few locals would appear to be boycotting it.

A few years ago I was in the Australia Bar to watch Man City win their first champioship for 44 years. Bliss. So it has a special footie connection for me. That said, on big matches, Bony's is quite good. Watched Spain win a world cup their a few years back.

Bonys no longer have TV screens outside, however, I think there is one inside but a very small area.
