Default Buddha Bar.

Any first hand reports or feedback on the new Buddha bar yet?

I passed the Buddha bar yesterday and was most impressed by the life-sized elephant!

It was closed at the time so I can't comment on the interior layout or character. I'll look in later in the week and check out if more senior patrons will be welcome.

SWS

I was going to ask the same. Now that it is open, I think this merits a new thread?

Adios

I agree.

I had a "PM" from a "mature(?!)" couple who live and work in the port yesterday and they said they'd been and it was very smart. Also, not full of kids I seem to remember so here's hoping.

I'm back out on Thursday so my report won't be for a few weeks.

Let's hope others do report back soon.

Now nick, are you not going to use the many places that you can go to and use the internet in the port, or even buy a cute little net book to take with you to enable you to keep in touch and give daily updates?!

Would be really interested to hear any reports on this as the apartment we are staying in overlooks this street and is very near to the bar.

I assume the lifesized elephant is just something that was there for the opening night ! ............... can't believe it could be fitting to have a lifesized elephant outside anywhere in pp

Am I the only person that thinks the idea of having a lifesize elephant sitting outside a bar on a Majorcan street is a bit weird .............. suppose I shouldn't express an opinion until I have seen it and from what I have read people seem to be saying this is a nice, classy type bar and not at all "tacky" but at the moment it just doesn't compute.

Is it overpowering? Does it look out of place? Is it offensive to neigbouring restaurants? ...... or is it one of those strange things that shouldn't really be right but strangely looks quite in place and enhances the area
