Default In search of lunch - somewhere I can keep an eye on the car.

Need your advice, folks.

Our flight gets us to PP too early to check in for the hotel, so we thought we'd have lunch somewhere between the airport and the Port. You can never get all your stuff into the car boot, so you've got it all on display if you leave it unattended. Any recommendations for somewhere either with a car park or, at least, where I can park outside and keep my eye on it.

Last trip, we just grabbed a sandwich at the airport but we've time for a much more leisurely meal.

TIA

John

I would imagine most hotels would let you leave your luggage until its time to check in.

What about trying Hotel Llenaire?
It has great views and the car park is just for guests' use there.

Default Ikebana

@ Harters
Are you looking preferrably en route or directly in PP?

There's usually a few parking spots right outside the Ikebana (Calle de la Cadernera, beside the Golden Lion).

Or you could park outside the Golden Lion and have one of the roast chickens there ...
(not mad on their chips though)

El Mesón, they have a car park right next door to it that you can see form the terrace, or L'Aup, they have their own car park!

Not really fussed, Mike.

En route would probably give us the chance to try somewhere new. In PP itself would be handy if the hotel doesnt have storage facilities - although it probably will, in which case we'll just dump them and go somewhere local.

My companion in life is already fancying the Hotel Llenaire but I reckon such a nice spot will be even nicer on a day when we're not frazzled from travelling.

You could eat at Trio and park your car in the spaces behind the Ora Playa?

On route an option, on the road to Pollensa, would be Menestralia where you can leave your car in the car park and get a table overlooking it. Good buffet lunch, all you can eat including wine for less than 10€

You might be lucky if you arrive early enough at Stay or La Llonja to be able to grab a car parking space within sight of the outside tables - we managed it this year. But I can't imagine any hotel worth its salt would refuse to store cases for a few hours - and in our experience (though this doubtless only applies out of season) hotels in PP are very amenable about letting early arrivers access their rooms early if possible - both the Miramar and the Illa d'Or have let us into our rooms mid-morning as they'd already made them up. I guess a lot of guests leave unusually early to catch flights.

Most hotels have a luggage room but if not, Multihire do a luggage store service. Also a shower service so you could freshen up before lunch!
