El Posito 2016.
As of tomorrow 1st April El Posito will be open in the evenings as well as lunchtimes. Toni will have the same team as last year behind him with the addition of a young waiter called Pedro who is very efficient :D.

Lovely inaugural meal last night - things running as usual like a well-oiled machine despite being really busy and can report no disasters! Lovely also to see Sparky and Colin, sitting down to eat at a very Spanish time just as we were leaving to go to our beds! The food was as good as ever - frito Mallorquin starter was huge and unfortunately stopped me finishing the delicious John Dory with onions I'd chosen as a main course - so I'd go for something lighter next time, such as the garlic baby squid my OH picked, which was also pretty huge but not quite so filling. He said his steak in port wine sauce was excellent. Grumpy teenage daughters ate every scrap of their veal escalope and chicken with tumbet and were less grumpy than they had been all day as a result. So El Posito remains right at the top of our favourite restaurants in the Port.

It was lovely to see you all again Kate, i was surprised at how busy it was especially with the awful weather. We started with a shared plate of garlic prawns and baby squid, for mains Colin had lamb chops and i had the John Dory with onions, all was fantastic as usual :D.
