Default recommended back street places for lunch

Hi looking forward to ret in Aug and would love your recommendations for cheap lunches. Last year I seemed to be spending a fortune buying bread/ham/cheese etc in the shops. Would like to perhaps eat out for lunch every other day. There are lots of little places tucked around the back streets I just don`t know them. Gracias!

Just duplicating a couple of CathBs suggestions but would strongly recommend Can Tofol -
The daily special is €6.50 (inc. a drink) or the Sunday 3 course MDD is €9.90 and also includes a drink.
It got a few mentions in my earlier trip report:

La Vall have a 3 course MDD which looks great - the menu is usually posted in advance on their facebook page.

& finally El Posito have a 3 course lunch (inc wine) every weekday for €10.50 & €15 (at least the last time I went) on a Sunday. It's best to book on a Sunday as it's always very busy.

I'd definitely recommend La Vall - their MDD is incredible value at 9E for three courses, wine, water and a small bottle of lemonade (to mix with the wine, I assume!) and the guy who runs it is lovely. Portions are big so you won't want much in the evening! They do good tapas too. I'd also visit El Meson for very good tapas, and Ca'n Ferra, just off the seafront, is also very good and reasonably priced. Their fish dishes are particularly good.

Hi Triplets

I suggest that you go out and buy a couple of new notebooks, because I think this thread will go on for quite some time!!!
