Default cafe L'Algar

We just sat down for a pre lunch drink at cafe L'Algar on the square. We sat being ignored for about 5 mins before one of the waiters looked in our direction. Instead of coming over he cleared a table. After another 5 mins we left never to bother with them again.

If they were really busy I'd have understood, but they weren't and doubt they ever are with such poor customer service.

This used to be our morning coffee spot but felt it took ages for no reason so changed to another quiet café near El Meson where they deliver your coffee with a smile quickly !

Had the same problem myself the last two years. Was almost ready to strip naked to get the waiters attention but he managed to come over.
Spirits and mixer drinks also relatively small too, virtually equivalent to measures back home.
1919 is far superior.

Same problem in the evening for drinks. We could normally have 2 in Bony's in the time it takes to get served in L'Algar

Actually... perhaps I might feel better in the morning if we went to L'Algar more often!!

You may be lucky hat you did not get served. The first time we went to Algar, we were overcharged. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back the next holiday, same thing happened again. We have never been back since. Everywhere deserves a second chance but they had theirs as far as we are concerned.

Same here I am afraid.Sat down and waited to be served.Waiter walked past us a number of times totally ignoring us.A customer sitting near us actually mentioned to one of the waiting staff that we had been sat there for a while with nobody attending to us, Stillmade no difference.Needless to say we have not ventured back

Bony's give you 2.67 seconds to make your mind up and choose your drink. Sometimes, you have not even sat down.
