Hi

We are hoping to have a late lunch when we arrive in April. It wil be around 2.30 if everything goes to according to plan - could anyone tell me what time lunch is usually served up to in El Posito and Brisas Marina ?

Thanks

Not sure - although of course Mallorcans have lunch much later than we do - but if all else fails there are plenty of restaurants that do a snack-type menu all day. Stay has a good choice, or the Corb Mari. I should have thought 2.30 would be OK for most places though as they seem to carry on serving until at least 3PM.

We have a bit of tradition now that our first stop when we arrive is lunch (often mid afternoon) in Joker Bar. It is lovely to sit there with the amazing view anticipating the sunny days ahead! I don't know why this place doesn't get more mentions on the forum. The food is reasonably priced considering the location and the service is always friendly. You can just have a drink there too if you don't want to eat.

Could not agree more. Do you remember when the old RAF on the front used to be open. That was always our first port of call. Same staff and I suspect same owners. Love the beer...

Some of the staff from Joker have moved on. I know the guy who was in charge last year is now working at Can Josep.

I seem to recall that Josep himself was originally at Joker - am I right?

Default View from Joker

the view from the Joker and it's great icy beer has long been a family meeting place. I don't dare think what we have spent there but it has always been worth it. Today my husband and I sat in the sunshine and looked out on our favourite view to see blobs of golden fluffy stuff floating in the gorgeous blue sea We have never seen it before and we have been coming for twenty years, does anyone know what it is. I will not be getting the water with that floating about.

How great to hear such memories of RAF and JOKER, both favourites of ours. We followed Juan (now at C'an Josep, and Josep's brother in law, by the way) from RAF to JOKER and for us too it's the first lunch stop. Brisa Marina the first dinner and C'an Josep our second evening meal out. Creatures of habit... like so many of you! Just over a week to go and we can follow that well trodden path to our very favourite places. Can't wait!

The late lunch was had at La Vall it was fantastic value menu of the day £9

We had a lovely tuna salad to start followed by fish mallorcan style and pear in red wine for desert also included were bread and olives, bottle of wine bottle of still water and a bottle of sparkling water.

There were another two choices of mains and starter and the menu changes daily - you can view it on Facebook

Lovely weather today looking forward to another nine days of bliss!!!
