Thai

Hi

Does anyone know of any Thai restaurants in PP, or places that do Thai?

Cheers!

To my knowledge there are no Thai restaurants in the Port but Nostalgia do a starter of Thai fishcakes and a red or green Thai curry main course, all are very good :D.

Don't know of any in the port but Casa Asiatica in the old town to the left of the church near to Bar Nou say they are Thai and Chinese.

For a quick Thai-ish fix Centric have a dish of chicken on a skewer with green curry sauce roasted almonds and a bit of stir fry veg, which is very nice

Stay now have a 'Thai' chicken curry on their all-day Snack menu, but in all honesty, having tried it, I can say that it's more like an Indian chicken korma - there's no real taste of Thai spices but I guess it's made with coconut milk. It's quite pleasant though. I haven't had anything specifically Thai at Casa Asiatica but the Chinese-type dishes I've eaten there have been good.As Sparky says, Nostalgia is probably your best bet. Funny how Thai food has taken over from Chinese in popularity in the UK - in my home town we now have only one Chinese restaurant (which is pretty grim) but no less than three Thai restaurants - all of which are excellent.

Alcudia has one in the area of the Tamarinda apts and Sunwing complex called Khun Phanti's.
I have heard good reports. Does not look much from the outside though.

It is/was authentic Thai food located in a back street and on tables which are more of a bar than a restaurant. The food was very good, although more expensive than you would expect, given the environment. We often travel to Thailand and this is the nearest to authentic food that you can get in and around PP/Alcudia.

My understanding was that the owners were going to move back to Thailand this year, so I am not sure it is still open.

Thanks Fencer and alcanadakid, we'll check them out, hopefully they are still open.
