We had heard rumours about what the building was being used for but weren't sure if they were true.

Years ago (can't remember how many but probably at least 15) I was sitting on the beach when two women sat down on the beds next to me. They were wearing full make up and loads of jewellery which I thought was really odd as it was August and about 35 degrees. Their mobiles were ringing non stop and though my Spanish isn't great I picked up a few words here and there and I was in left in no doubt as to what was going on

So Right you are Sparky.
Another place built with dodgy planning.
Her Ladyship would not let me visit to inspect the Drawings ?????
Maria From Sinbad always said it should be pulled down.
Pollenca Fan Probably knows more of its history

How very dare you. Why would I know more about it.? I said to Mrs P that I've never been so offended, then she said that I obviously didn't get out enough

Hmmm, One of those ladies was Mrs Pollensafan. When she came back that day I said how much did you get. She said " £8 10p ". I said " which cheapskate gave you 10pence. She said " All of them "

The old ones are always the best.

It might be worth having a separate thread for the brothel as the poor Sea bar is being lost here, any reviews, I understand they had live music the other day, did anyone catch it?

I think that is my fault for which i apologise but i don't think we need a separate thread as it no longer exists , but yes i too am looking forward to seeing reviews of this new venture.

You are correct Gommar Goffer. It WAS originally an Indian Restaurant opened by a Majorcan by the name of Dionis from Pollensa. I believe it was one of(if not) THE first Indian restaurant on the island and the food was superb. He imported an Indian chef from London. Unfortunately it didn't last more than one season as it was "before it's time" as far as the locals were concerned. How things change! Now Indian restaurants are all over the island.

We had morning coffee at the new Sea.Bar.Is this morning & had a chat with Billy. He has great plans for the place - restaurant obviously ( menu featuring many Ivy Garden favourite dishes); cafe bar; juice bar; etc etc. This Sunday 12 April he has a salsa group playing live Cuban music. Sounds fun. We wish him well.

Does that mean that it is run by the people who had the Ivy Garden?
