Default Suggestion for meal in Old Town.

Hi, we are looking to celebrate my wife's birthday in July at a restaurant somewhere in Pollenca (old town). We normally eat at Ca'n Teresa but would like to try somewhere new. We will be a party of 5, 2 adults a 7 yr old, 5 yr old and 2 yr old! Looking for something that does local/ Spanish food, price not a problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

PS. Has to have outside seating!

Trencadora, lovely outside area. Never had a bad experience there, great service.

Although it may actually be Italian , before someone else points that out, but it has all sorts on menu not just pizza/pasta.

Thanks GrandeMimosa. I've always liked the look of Trencadora but have never tried it as I was under the impression it was an Italian trattoria. When I'm in Mallorca, I don't really see the point in eating Italian food, but if, as you say, they do offer local/ Spanish dishes as well, it could be a winner. Just one more question!; is Trencadora too quiet and sophisticated for 3 young kids? The older 2 are well behaved, the 2 year old can have the odd noisy outburst! Cheers, Monty.

No Trencadora would fit the bill perfectly. The menu is great, service excellent and they are very happy with young children as most Mallorcan restuarants are!

Try Cantonet at their new venue, the old El Temple. The rear courtyard has been extended, excellent food but would book to guarantee a table.
