Default Tumbet

My daughter loves Tumbet so was wondering if the very knowledgeable members could recommend the best places to eat it.

Thats an easy one, my favorite local dish! Try El posito, el casinet or el Mojito
PS I forgot Los Zarzales, probably the best one there!

For once I go along with sws97sdg El Posito - Zarzales

Try this BBC - Food - Recipes : Tumbet mind you never taste quite as good back in UK.

The Coral Bar does a very good tumbet. It is my daughter's favourite, she has been a vegetarian for 24 years and eaten it in most of PP restaurants. El Posito also very good.

Eu Centro in the old town is our favourite so far, we will try the other suggestions soon

Looks like I may need to give Los Zarzales a visit on our next trip

Tumbet is something I like to have at least once per holiday. In addition to the recommendations above for El Posito & Bar Coral I would add Los Faroles

We visited again in September after missing a few trips, don't know why, just too many to fit in, it reminded us how good Los Zarzales is, the food is wonderful and the owners are so nice. The portions are large though which maybe one reason we stopped going, the veggie paella was fantastic but just so much for two people especially after tumbet as a starter!

I Don't know how you manage both
For us it is usually bread and olives as a starter, then Tumbet and that's us full.

I just love both so cant choose and usually end up having both, although not managing to finish the paellas which are huge and could easily fed 3 or 4 !

For us it has to be the yacht club, the tumbet is on their snack menu del dia (you may have to ask for this as it isn't always on the main menu that you are given!). It is a substantial dish with the normal vegetables on a bed of boiled potatoes and served with a fried egg on top, delicious, and less than 9€
