restaurants with great views
We have friends over from the US. They have told us that they have heard of some restaurants with spectacular views of the sea from a high point.
I can think of a few: Mirador Victoria in Alcudia, La Terraza in Alcanada, Cala Barques in CSV.....I'm sure there must be others.
Can anyone help? Doesn't have to be just in PP or surrounding areas. I'd like to get a list of all the most spectacular views (with decent food!) from restaurants on the Island.
i seem to remember an Ottolenghi TV programme last year (?) with amazing views. Anyone know where that was?
All suggestions gratefully received. I'll get back with reports and pictures.
Thanks
Graham

Another one is at the top of Santa Margalida, just in front of the church. Great 360 deg on terrace outside church, and lovely views from restaurant too. Llenaire still my favourite, but its worth a look!

Mirador Victoria in Alcudia - I've not actually eaten there (despite it being highly recommended by several freiends), but have been foolish enough to cycle up the umpteen hair-pin bends to get to the top quite a few times, and the view is simply stunning.

Mirador Victoria is a great view but for me you have to get up into the Tramuntana mountains - recently I have enjoyed melas and views at a restaurant off the beaten track to Sa Calobra and a lovely one in Banyalbafur looking over roof tops and out to the Med. I will check the names and repost. There is also a restaurant between Valdemosa and Andratx I tthink referred to as 'the restaurant at the end of the universe' - referred to by Mallorca Days Out on Facebook which looks amazing

A few in Deia - easy to look up on google etc., although it is a bit of a drive.

There is a small Italian 'mama and papa' type restaurant just before you get into Estellencs with a terrace with views over the sea and town - we have been for lunch on 2 or 3 occasions and have always been the only people there! I just can't remember what it's called but it's on a left hand bend and you could easily miss it

Graham, re your query on Ottolenghi programme. I'm sure a lot of it was done in Soller, and the best restaurant for views is said to be Restaurant D'alt Des Coll. Again, use google and look at images.

PP is my favourite place on the island - but for spectacular views P.Soller takes some beating... Restaurante Es Faro
has fantastic views - mixed reviews on TA due to manager - although first class food.
If your friends are real foodies - Deia is the place to go - too fancy for me, but michael winner - when food critic for the Sunday Times - called it the best concentration of restaurants in the world!!!!!
