This "singer" was still going on full throttle just before midnight last night. Why she has to be so loud I do not know. It's totally embarrassing and unnecessary IMO.

Well I'm over 60 & I still enjoy dancing. It's really not a crime. Why am I not allowed to enjoy myself? Not dead yet!!!

So at what age "in your opinion" should people stop dancing and enjoying themselves?.

I personally don't find it embarrassing or sad to watch people of any age having a good time.

Nickpaulanoah, you can't see that people enjoying themselves, regardless of their age, as anything but sad. What a strange world we live in !

: This really made me laugh NPN because that is exactly why I love Nostalgia..."dance and feel youthful again" it's a great feeling, good fun and a bit of exercise too! Just a shame I never made it to Nostalgia on my last visit but did have a wee dance at Embat Beach Bar as we passed one night! Couldn't help myself ...It's what the music makes me do and as long as my "old" legs allow I will continue regardless of age. Love to see older folk enjoying themselves, it is allowed.

Oh dear sorry I even mentioned the noise

For the record I am not young

I love live music and can often be found in OHaras dancing and singing along to The Hustlers and also having a good time in Nostalgia

I love to see people enjoying themselves

The reason I mentioned it wasn't because I don't think PP should have live music, I am a massive fan of such

It was because it was VERY loud on that particular evening ...... I do know that sound travels but we could still hear it when way past Little Italy

So let's all enjoy ourselves, let's have lots of live music, let's even have the opportunity to sing badly on the karaoke if that's what helps us to have a great time .......... But also let's ensure establishments pay heed to the fact that some don't want to listen to singing that is emanating from a bar half a mile away.

One of the things I love about PP is it has something for everyone and I have often marvelled that as I leave OHaras or Nossies and make my way home, by the time I reach the Daina you wouldn't even know that all that fun and liveliness was occurring

And isn't that how it should be ...... So that everyone gets the PP they want

Alright, alright fair comment. Posted in haste and you're all correct about age not being a barrier to fun. It was something rather funny I happened to witness and you had to be there in person to witness it. Apologies.

I'll try and keep away from the ageist thing in future - I ain't that young myself!

I'm not so sure about that. Not necessarily me but a lot of people who visit PP don't want to stay up late and while no party pooper the racket was, in my opinion, excessively loud and unnecessary.

That is how bad it sounded.

Couldn't agree more...some people think it might be too quiet, nobody could possibly think it is too noisy a resort.....Love that you can have loads of fun in certain establishments.....walk a short distance and the tranquility is there if you wish...all depends in how my day has went in how I choose my evening....perfect place!
