O Lume 10th Anniversary.
 

This Saturday 16th August will be the 10th anniversary of the opening of O Lume. At lunchtime Jaime will host a brunch buffet for his loyal clients and would like to invite anyone who has used his restaurant to pop in for a bite to eat and a drink which will be free of charge, however any extra drinks will have to be paid for ;).

Also in the evening he will be serving a special celebration menu which will cost 25€ pp, booking is essential for this. Here is the menu :-

Home made appetizer.

Scallops Carpaccio.
OR
Salad with Cambrians and Lamb fillet.
OR
Gazpacho with Avocado Mousseline.

Sea-Bream baked in salt.
OR
Veal Entrecote.

Jaime had mentioned when we were there in May that he was planning something special for his 10th Anniversary -sadly we can't make it over :( - Lyn please pass on our apologies and congratulations to Jaime ...... and warn him we'll see him next month :D

Jaime 10 Years how time flies when you love eating, sorry can't be with you will drink a toast to you and congratulate you on you mile stone of 10 years.

Don't think we have ever missed a year in the years you've been trading, always on the list of places to eat even on short visits to PP

Best move ever made when you moved into your new premises.

I'm amazed , although seeing O Lume's mentioned so many times during our visits to PP we have never visited it and yet we've coffee'd right next door so many times ... We will certainly pay O Lume a vist next time we're over.

Congratulations to the 10 th anniversary Jaime. Always nice to eat delicious food either in the backyard or by the fireplace in winter.

We like to eat late especially in the summer because it's cooler and the main rush is over, so we arrived at 9.30pm and luckily the rain had stopped so we were seated in the garden terrace.

The amuse bouche was a cherry tomato and a quail egg which was on a skewer making it look like a little figure, bread and butter was served with it.

To start i had the gazpacho and Colin had the scallops, both were very good.

For mains i had the veal entrecote served with chunky chips & veg and Colin had the sea bream with boiled potatoes & veg, both meals were cooked to perfection and Jaime did a fantastic job of filleting the fish at the table.

The dessert was a mousse (vanilla..i think) and fresh pineapple with flaming cointreau, this was a really light and refreshing dish. We finished off with cafe solos and hierbas.

I asked Jaime how it went at lunchtime and unfortunately the bad weather meant not too many people attended but the evening was better, even though we arrived later there were still 14 diners while we were there, some that we knew. So we had a fantastic evening in a lovely setting with good company and of course the usual excellent service from Jaime and Marie, thank you Jaime and all your staff we will see you again soon :D:D.

P.S Jaime has read your messages, he sends his thanks and is looking forward to seeing you all again :D.
