Default STEFANO's

The hideaway has been completely refurbished and looks like it will open fairly soon. It has a new name Stefano's and will be an Italian .

They are English I believe but have lived here for some time. I believe the chef is coming from Capdepera, but not 100% sure.

They have an evening for invitees on Wednesday and then I am told will open for business from Thursday. If its the chef that I was told about he comes with a very good reputation.

First Review
Had din-dins at Stevanos last night so here are my first impressions.
The menu is limited. What you see on the board outside is it. An Italian that serves tapas but not pizza!!!!
Food was good and well presented if a little fancy for my tastes.
Portions are adequate. Enough for me but I am not a big eater.
Prices are a bit on the pricey side without being outrageous.
However the whole dining experience was ruined by one thing - it is incredibly noisy. There were only around twenty people in there, but due to the low ceiling, stone walls and lack of soft furnishings it was impossible to hold a conversation with the person opposite without shouting - which everyone appeared to be doing. Maybe dining outside once the evenings are warmer is the best idea.

I agree deanscroft! Lovely looking inside, a bit too blowy for tablecloths outside on Thursday though, although only the hardy were outside. We also commented on the noise levels that were reached with groups. Also, there is no heating visible or a/c at the moment. Not sure if that is going to be altered at all. Stephano is very friendly obviously but run off his feet as he appears to be the only one who can give you your bill! Complimentary drinks after the meal, at the prices I would expect it to be fair! We did hear someone say At 23 euros I expect more chips! Lol! Will certainly te visit on special days!

My wife and I ate here last week, it's the third time we've been there this year. I would recommend it especially as the weather is now warm enough to ensure that you sit outside.
It's what I would call a Mediterranean menu and has a number of different influences. The food is tasty and well presented plus the service is very good. The location means that those based in the port (many people I think) will need to travel up to the Gotmar area but I would suggest it's worth the effort.

It is certainly hidden-away.

I pass by that way and there are no signs on the main Pto Pollensa to Pollensa town road to hint that it is there (just off the roundabout by the Habitat apartments), so it is certainly not chasing passing trade.

Its on the same road as Leo Apartments which are signed from C/.Cadernera, the road that goes towards the Pollensa Park from the Habitat roundabout.

Alternatively, head out on Juan XIII towards Pollensa.
Go straight on at Eroski Roundabout on the bypass to the roundabout at the Habitat Apts.
Take second left in front of the Rosa Blanca.
Pass the Gotmar Supermarket and Aries Bar.
Turn left into C/. Voltor.
You will see it on the right opposite the recycling bins, on the corner of C/. Verderol. Map here: Stefano's

Hope that helps

Default Stefano's

We went there tonight with friends who live in the port but had never been there before. What a pleasant surprise!!

It's a lovely setting with very good food and very attentive staff. Can't comment on bill as didn't pay but menu prices and wine seemed very competitive.

Will certainly be back. Current plans are to close from 8th Jan to 1st March in the winter but open weeks may only be extended weekends.

Delighted we found another excellent restaurant although you need to "travel" to the Habitat area of the port but well worth the track.

Glad its still going from strength to strength. Its in a good position for getting home to Llenaire by going through Gotmar too. Thank goodness your comment was taken the right way GA, could have been that you had done a runner!!
