Default TheFussies bar report

During our annual break it’s not just a case of eating well we are occasionally tempted to partake of a refreshment and Puerto Pollensa has some good choices. This year with Little MissFussie in tow bar selection had to be tailored to her needs.

As mentioned in her post Café D’eu Moll was good for chillaxing, she could sleep will we enjoyed relatively inexpensive beverages in tranquil surroundings. However when she was awake which was often in the evening she was looking for more adventure and Bellini in the square provided this. She was free to improve her newly acquired motor skills exploring the square whilst we could relax away from the hustle and bustle of Bony’s. Staff very attentive at Bellini, highly recommended.

Bellavere was also good if going out with young children, a safe environment and an activity area. Went during heat of the day as it was well shaded. Little MissFussie had a ball.

After LittleMissFussie returned to UK Mr&Mrs Fussie plus FussieFriends often found themselves in the bar attached to Mar Calma (Ona I think it’s called). Based on the number of evenings we returned we obviously liked it.

An old favourite of TheFussies is an early evening drink at La Cantina D’eu Moll Nou (behind Stay). A great place to watch the sun go down or relax looking at the yacht you wished you owned.

Best beer was El Meson as mentioned in our restaurant report.
TyM had the second best beer of the entire holiday an ice cold Estrella Galician. Very friendly owners, deserving of the custom of forum members either for a drink or their excellent tapas.

An old favourite used to be Mombassa but alas no more. One foul, loud rude customer virtually single handedly emptied the bar. Bar man mentioned that two tables had not paid before leaving. If he had ejected the problem customer he might have retained a few and been paid.

The bars on the Ruta del tapeo offer reasonable wine at very reasonable prices also worth a try outwith Ruta nights.

Finally not really a bar Hotel Llenaire for afternoon tea (well coffee and cake). If you have a car go, it is beautiful building set in lovely grounds. Coffee and cake were excellent, with cake being I suspect baked on premises. Tempted to try an evening meal here next year.

Re Hotel Llenaire,, If you are reasonably fit you could walk there. Mrs Pollensafan and I did it last june. The only drawback was having to stop along the way because some tourist wanted to feed her a carrot. ( man, am I in for it now)

Another great report, Fussies! That Mar Calma bar is very pleasant, isn't it - so near the Square but a very different ambience. They do a good range of cocktails too.
