Default Well, almost .........

My ramblings ....

Osteria 15 : Very enjoyable, good service / price / quality combination.
Ca'n Tofol : One of the surprises. Very friendly little bar, great prices, really enjoyable Tapas.
Bodeguita : Top notch once again. Can’t be faulted as far as I’m concerned.
Ca'n Josep : Excellent food (again), excellent service (again).
La Llonja : First class in all aspects. The new Number 1 for us.
Stay : To be honest, a little disappointed this time. Very busy (good sign), but this I feel affected the service (bad sign). Had to ask to order desserts, coffees etc.
Ambrosia : Now a favourite of ours. Friendly service, lovely food, great prices.
Centric : Lovely restaurant, great food, location, prices fair. Service maybe a little slower than ideal but that might be picky.
Oh Lume : This is going to be controversial probably, but we (all six of us) didn’t enjoy this as much this visit. I enjoyed others eg Centric, C’an Josep equally if not more. Maybe just how we felt on the night. Suppose we'll have to go back and try it again !
Laguna : Excellent lunches, great live jazz / dinner, fab place to spend the day. Miguel ? Nothing more needs to be said !
RCNPP : Lovely lunch from their new (I think) menu.
Bar Rustic : More folks should make the effort to get there. Quaint, but it always has been, and that is one of the attractions for me.
Pepe’s : Legendary big breakfast. Has to be done …….. once ! He was telling me that he’s done 27 years now, and only plans 2 more, but I’m sure he’s said that before.

Regret 1 : Didn’t manage to El Posito this visit, sorry !
Regret 2 : Didn’t get to Trencadora either.

Surprise 1 : The Sunday market in Pollensa. It’s huge compared with my last visit to it ( c 15 years ago ! ). I’m not a shopper / browser, but even I must have spent 4 or 5 minutes looking round before retreating to a shady knoll to ward off dehydration.
Surprise 2 : The resort prices seem to be stable.

Lifesaver 1 : El Kiosko, second night we were there.
Lifesaver 2 : El Kisoko, third night we were there ……..

A comment I would like to make is that we felt that the Ruta del Tapeo fell a little short this time. Bodeguita ( no surprise there ) was excellent, Bar Rustic good, but to be frank we felt some of the others were not quite what we expected. Sorry organisers ……

The resort I thought was looking good. Didn’t seem to be as much doggy-do underfoot (I should watch where I’m going ! ), and the general overall impression was more positive than that looking back say 4 or 5 years or so. Low key but frequent Guardia presence was also good to see.

All told ………. Looking at flight prices for September !

El Kiosko is the wee hamburger joint just inland from Cafe 1919.
