The Steak House, Pine Walk

In laws out in PP at the moment.
Wanted to try out something yesterday evening they hadn't been before.
I doubt they'll be back...

Message last night:
"... Steaks were a disaster I do believe it was horsemeat I just hope it was a race horse and not some old nag from the west of Ireland. never again. ..."

And today:
"... B. has forgiven me for bringing her to the steak house last night..."

Its always sad to hear anyone having a bad experience at a restaurant - as we all know there are so many good restaurants out there it's a real shame to waste a night of the holidays on a bad one

Is this a new restaurant ? The only thing I can think of that could be described as a Steak House near the pine walk is the Corb Mari which in general seems to get reasonable reviews.

Doogz, i think it's the old Tex n Mex, they have been re-branded as "Steak House" .

Yes the Corb Mari is an excellent place to eat - really good steaks and brilliant service.
Definitely NOT to be confused with any other establishment.....

If the Steak House every one is referring too is opposite Corib Mar at the junction of Vora Mar, all I can say is they must be unlucky. Lola, myself and friends ate in there the other night, all meals were great especially my steak which was huge and served cooked just how I like it. As a result we have been there again and no complaints that time either. Strange thing is we ate in Dakotas on the front one night and it was really disapointing, amazing when both restaurants are owned by the same chain. off to Stay tonight so see what happens there, never had a bad meal there yet so fingers crossed all is well tonight.

I think this might be the old Mestral restaurant which became Tex Mex and now Steak House. The restaurant opposite Corb Mari is Can Pescador.

Can Pescador is part of the same chain though ,with the same menu.

Yes , you are right. The steak I had was in Can Pescador excellent. had a disapointing meal in the Steak House along the front and my Son in Law who paid the bill did not realise until a couple of days later he had been overcharged on the bill. P.S.Stay was at its usual standard.
