Tapas recommendations
Like many visitors in the past the highlight of our holiday was a visit to the old Neptuno when Martin and Miguel were there. We have never found anywhere that compares but we are open to suggestions. There must be establishments that come very close so suggestions please

La Cabana on the beach road is great lovely views of the bay and nice court yard at the back. We discovered El Meson (opposite the big Eroski) last year great value and service even when calling in for a beer you get a free tapas.

We went to the Imperial Tapas restaurant back in April. We had excellent food there and good portions. It is located in what was Bar Imperial. We too miss Martin and Miguel at the old Nepgune. They were great and Neptune had an excellent atmosphere - always great mix beteeen locals and holidaymakers. Gin and tonics hard go beat as the measures were slwayx very generous.

Sorry about the earlier post with a few typos.

Restaurant Siurell out at Llenaraie is also very good for tapas
|
In central area Ca'n Tofol is very hard to beat, tapas are excellent especially on the Tapas route on Thursday, but get there early because it gets somewhat packed later on. Its on the new car park just along from the post office.

El Meson or La Roda are both very good

We always adore the mixed tapas for two at Port 31 - a gorgeous mix of different flavours and textures, and their bread and aioli are also both delicious. The staff are so genuinely warm and friendly; we have eaten there loads over past couple of years. Their sardines are yummy too, and they have a really good wine list.:D
Also love Corb Mari's tapas menu, although what they offer are bigger racion plates. Great for a long, leisurely lunch with a couple of glasses of vino. We have tried quite a few from the menu, all lovely. To narrow it down would highly recommend their mussels, prawns, calamari, chicken wings, and any of their salads are a great addition. If you are not in a tapas mood, their burgers, roast chicken, salads and pa amb oli are all great options.:) |
Port 31 is definitely one to try for something different and the lunch menu also good :)

Oh the power of the Forum! For years and years I've walked past El Meson and, as I've never seen a single review of it here, kept on walking.
Well now I have............. |
Thanks for your suggestions. Where is Port 31 please
|
Port 31 is in great spot, on the Pine Walk next to Brisa's (yet another great place for food!) and a brief stroll from the central roundabout/bus station area. :)
