Had a belting Paella there last night. Not a glamourous restaurant but in my eyes a typical down-to-earth Mallorcan eating place. Great service too.

It's right beside the Repsol garage, near the big Eroski on the main road to Pollença.

We shall be heading there when we arrive on the Saturday lunchtime, its great for that because there is lots of room on the terraces and safer with the suitcases, so looking forward to a long leisurely lunchtime while we wait to get into the apartment we are renting!

Find of the year this was for us.....thanks to all you guys on the Forum who recommended it.

Brilliant value, obviously not in the El Posito, C'an Josep, Stay league, but actually in a league of its own for service, quality and value.

I agree.....hope I can get a table next year after all these positive plugs!

Its always our first port of call..usually after we have unpacked and been to Eroski for the first shop...after all one needs refreshment after the arduous task of shopping

Just left el meson after a tapas lunch. Not impressed tbh. Stay for lunch is better and cheaper

Haven't been in El Meson, but Stay certainly has the better location.

It always amuses me that people have this preconception that Stay is really expensive. Ok, if you go a la carte it is pricey, but their tapas menu and MDD are both fantastic and the best value in the port, along with La Llonja and the Yacht Club. Stay on a beautiful sunny day looking out across the bay takes some beating IMO.

So are you saying, like for like the same tapas in stay is 4 euros in Stay and 10 in El Meson! The portions in El Meson are huge though, it looks like I will have to carry out a thorough investigation and tasting when we are over soon!
