New Cocktail Bar
Just been speaking to Toni from Marina who was coming out of the now closed down shop next door. He is turning it into a cocktail bar and it should be opening in April. What a prime position! Sounds from what he told us it will be an upmarket champagne and oyster bar. Good news for the Port me thinks :)

Interesting Debz...i wonder if it will it be called "Aphrodisiac" ;)
Is that between them and Don Corleone?
Assume it's what was then that really nice clothes shop to the left as you face the Marina Bar?
Yes it's where the clothes shop used to be.
OK other side, sounds interesting, the champagne, not the oysters, they are only sea snails ;)
Not keen on oysters either
Clothes shop
Wonder if the clothes shop ever sold shell suits.
Nice to see your back and on top form Mark ;)

Let us know what it's like, probably expensive no doubt !

This place sounds perfect, and the location is awesome for letting the kids roam around while we have a cocktail, yes please. Any news of their progress and possible opening time. Opening night would be awesome!

Has Anyone Tried this place Yet ?
As someone who has been known to partake of a wee Margarita (no salt) I would love to read some reports of this place .

I might well try a wee Mojito in it when we are out over Easter weekend:) I will report back on my findings;)
It's all boarded up at the moment. Would be nice if it's open before we leave in 8 days but I think it won't be. Perfect location!
Yes, lots of work still going on today....Toni is now saying that it will be a 'wine bar' but that it will also have oysters for sale there too....:)
It is open now, called Pan Ta Lan Gastro Wine Bar and is serving Sushi.
Sushi!! That's different!!!

Link with Casa Villa?
Sounds interesting, look forward to some reviews (it'll be a while before my next visit, boo hoo, already missing the Port sorely after a wonderful Easter holiday).
Just curious, does Toni from Marina also own Casa Villa in the Square? Just that they give customers a cocktail discount voucher for Marina. |
Yes, he and his family own Casa Vila and the Marina Cafe - and now also PanTaLan.

Has anyone had a drink in the place yet?
As a lover of cocktails just wondering what prices are like and quality as well. Scotslizzy |
Muchas gracias for the info Lorenzo. I wish the family all the best in their new venture, we had several lovely meals at Casa Vila at Easter, served by lovely staff.:)
Just seen pictures on their FB pages, braces and bow ties, that will be fun in 40c temperatures
