Default 7 days 'eating out'

Just back after a lovely week in PP. Hubby, myself and daughter (10)
17/05/08-24/05/08 (2 rainy days and mainly sunny for remainder)

Here is a quick summary of restaurants visited:

Sat - Arrived at 9.30pm dumped suitcases and went straight to our favourite,Can Ferrar for mixed tapas starter (assortment of calamari,Fritos Mallorcan, mussels, prawns & meatballs) followed by fish soup and washed down with a jug of their excellent sangria.

Sun - Ca n'Andeu (formally Bon Profit but moved to corner in square next to church). Best value meal of the week! set menu for 18 Euros.
Hubby - Fritos Mallorcan followed by Lamb
Me - Cuttlefish & salad followed by a whole seabass cooked with potatoes and spinach. Price included water and wine and sweet.Food was delicious
but hubby was disappointed sweet consisted only of an apple, orange or icecream but what we got for the price was excellent!
Daughter had a large bowl of mussels and enjoyed them to.

Mon - Il Giardino as it was pouring down and we could eat inside. Pasta was excellent so was Tuna steak and my daughter loves the sea bream on the children's menu. Service was spot on and the puddings gorgeous, yummy moist orange cake, panna cotta & ice cream. A bit more expensive here but worth it.

Tues -L'Olivera back to cheap and cheerful with the menu of the day
(around 12 Euro's I think) Tomato & mozzarella salad , Sea bream fillet with fries followed by home made sweet (a kind of chocolate mousse which was very nice) wine was included. Daughters children's meal 6.50 Euro's included spag bol, drink & icecream.

Weds Back to Can Ferrar for the best Paella and Sangria ( the homemade alioli is very good here to)

Thurs - Can O'llesa enjoyed a lovely meal here it was a beautiful evening sat in the Pollensa square. Green peppers to start (there were more hot ones than usual!!! but still enjoyed them) we both then had fritos marinero and amazing sweets. My daughter didn't fancy anything from the chidren's menu and they happily grilled her a plain seabass fillet with chips. House wine was good and it was all very reasonabally priced.

Fri - Little Italy first time we had tried here and we weren't disappointed. We all shared a pizza as a starter and then had the waiters recommendation of the sea food spaghetti (he told us the pasta had just been made that day and the sea food fresh that day as well) glad we did as I have never tasted prawns as fresh as that before they were beautiful.
Sweets here were excellent, especially the tiramusu. Again one of our more expensive meals but worth every penny!

Sat - Last day and rain so decided to have a long leisurely lunch
so back to Il Giardino had the set menu 3 courses for 18 Euro's very nice
once again but price bumped up a bit as wine and drinks not included and also had a couple of coffees

Back for 2 weeks end of July so will have to wait to try all the restaurants we couldn't fit in this time and to return to some of our favourites.

Bon Profit

Charlotte

Lots of our favourites in your list as well and guess what we too are there at the end of July ....... and will certainly be having Paella in the Little People ( C'an ferra )

Can O'llesa will also get a visit and we really should get round to trying Il Gardino

We have had many a lovelly baguette from L'Olivera at lunchtime but never tried it in the evenings ..... may well do so in July

Also will definitely try the set meat at Ca n'Andeu

I also like little Italy, but tend to give it a miss in July as its just so busy ... we were over first week in April ( great weather by the way ! ) and it was a pleasure to eat in Little Italy ....... we positioned ourselves just by the door and watched the fantastic colours across the bay as the sun went down

Hi Corky welcome to the forum, if you check out the eating out pages on the left hand side here or try http://www.puertopollensa.com/restau...ars_cafes.html, you will find a list of most of the one mentioned, most have menus and maps, hope this helps
