Default El Cano

I mentioned this restaurant briefly earlier on today and Portofan is right, there's very little said about it but when we last visited in 1996 we found it a lovely place to eat.

Has anyone eaten there recently?

It is in Carrer El Cano, just off the main road into PP (on the right hand side as you come along the road).

When we went there it was Swiss-owned (I think) and the menu was dominated by red cabbage and lots of meat.

Back in May we took a look at the menu and it didn't seem to have changed a lot, but after 9 years I would be more than ready to sample it again!

There is no outside eating area but I remember it was always busy and the food was good and plentiful.

Any more comments would be welcome because we would like to re-visit in a couple of weeks time.

Jane

This place is on the street El Cano which runs from the seafront up to the main road out to Pollensa namely JoanX111. Near the JoanX111 end and opposite a car rental place.

It was about four years ago we were there and enjoyed the ambiance with beautiful linen table cloths and nicely set tables and attentive waitress who was very pleasant indeed.

Think we had starters and I had beef olives which is something you'd not expect in Spain and Sherry had moussaka both of which were excellent . Puds can't remember and house red probably Rioja went down well too.

They were playing music of the 1950's which seemed to go down well with all the different age groups--surprise surprise--and came round asking if anyone had favourites they would like played.

This is true I tell it as it was! But picking a favourite was a lottery!!:lol :lol

The next week we were speaking to people who had been there and one had a fish dish which was underdone the resolution of which was somewhat problematic.

Remember the owner or manager was a Kevin Keegan lookalike.

That's it you pays your money you makes your choice. Haven't been back as there are just so many places to try!!
