Default Barquita

Last year whilst in PP, we often dined at Barquita (A couple of blocks behind the Pine Walk - Near to Puerto Azul/LLevant/Play Oro apartments) whom offered an excellent three course menu de noches for around 15 euros. Not only did they serve up some fantastic food but the staff were very friendly and great with our children. Is Barquita still open? and, if anyone has visited recently, is the food/value still as good - only I think ownership has changed since last summer and they don't seem to be featured in the guide on this web site this year?
Is there also a place called Trio adjacent to Barquita - this place seemed to get very busy and offer a similar style menu, but just a little bit cheaper! We visited once but it wasn't really anything to write home about.

We've just returned from PP - Barquita still open, evening menu still 15 euros, food still very good. Don't know if staff are the same as last year but they were very friendly and made us very welcome. I much prefer the Barquita to the Trio next door.

Default Re Barquita

Just come back from pp and Barquita is even better than last year.
Michel who was head waiter last year is now manager, there is new staff throughout and the food is lovely the sevice is marvellous as long as you do not wish to eat very quickly and leave your food is freshly prepared and you are made to feel at home.
The 3 course meal for about 15 euros is good value and you get plenty of choice, you must try the food here and tell Michel that Bob, Maria, Coral and Devin sent you.
