Default All Inclusive

Today's Sunday Times Travel section has the definition of "All Inclusive" as "Except for the nice drinks.......or the steak"

Neither of which deficiencies will apply at Stay, tonight.

Too many excellent restaurants in PP, too little time to get round 'em

Can't think of anything worse to be honest. Apologies to anyone who disagrees!

Got to agree - looking forward to AI when a whole load of family go to Lanzarote in Feb but if I went AI in PP there would be tears flowing onto my over cooked, under tasting burger in the hotel canteen at the thought of not sitting on the terrace at la Llonja or the end of the jetty at the Capri or the glimpses of the sea at Na Ruixa and Coral or a drink in the square or at C'an Pescador, or a steak at Corb Marie or sitting at a little table outside El Posito or within sight of our apartment at Guru or on the beach at the Bahia etc etc.....you probably get the idea!!

AI never done it and whilst I have a choice I wont. People think they are getting something for nothing but need to wake you have paid for the food in the price!!! also the thought of not moving out of a complex 'because the food & beer is flowing all day' is not my sort of thing. it takes all sorts though each to their own.

When I was a student, and didn't know any better, I found it acceptable to be tagged with a wristband and served a drink in a plastic cup... not now though. I'm not saying all AI is like that, as I'm sure there are more upmarket versions, but I've heard enough stories from friends who have gone AI and lived to regret it to know that it is not for me. Besides, I'm not sure it is always the cheaper option - several people I know said the AI meals/drinks are so untempting that they ended up eating out every night. I guess it's fine if you value quantity over quality and don't really care too much what you are shovelling down your throat (like me when I was a student!)
