Question Naciente

The Naciente Restaurant is our favourite. Ask for the "sizzling meat" It is not on the menu!
It is wonderful as all his dishes are.
Wonderful outside garden to eat in and many locals dine there which is always a good sign.
Have just spent 2 weeks in PP

We too love Naciente's the T bone steak sizzling platter and their garlic king prawns and in the Winter it is our number one choice but in the Summer the Bar Coral just pips it as our number one restaurant. Their shoulder of lamb is excellent, the best aioli, and such a wonderful welcome.

It is up towards the Pine Walk end at the junction of Llevant and Medico Lopis.

Bar Coral is opposite Laroc (anagram of Coral) It is on the Formentor Road virtually opposite the Ora Playa or if you go past the Corb Mari and Vora Mar shop keep left into Pescadores and it is at the end.

It is different from Naciente. Not a grill. But the food is freshly cooked and Anna and Pedro are very welcoming. Recommend their shoulder of lamb.

The first two times we had the T-Bone steak at Naciente it was delicious. the following year we bought my aunt, uncle and cousins over to the Port and recommended they try it and told them it was the best steak they'd ever eat and so on - when it arrived, one was barely cooked, the other was covered in salt - and I like salt but this amount was ridiculous, we must have drunk about 3 litres of water each!!

So that was a shame, and we have tried it again since and can't help but feel like the food at Naciente has gone down hill slightly. On the other hand, maybe we've just been very unlucky!!We still love the laid back atmosphere and the service however, so we continue to go back every year in the hope that we'll have another great t-bone steak again!!
