Default Old Favourites

I will be making my first visit back to PP in a few years next week.

Now my daughter has grown up (well she is 5) and we are also travelling with friends with similar age kids we are staying All Incl. at the Club del Sol but i certainly plan on going into the Port for food as often as i can. Trying to recall the places and locations and also wanted to check with you helpful sorts if places are still open..

Historical favourites: Los Zazarles, Tangos (is this still out past Llenarie?), El Posito (I think this is the one just off the back end of the square). Also i remember a place down by Pollensa Park but can't remember the name. Run by an older Spanish lady. Also expect C'an Curasso will get a visit as i'm next door

Are there any other good new places that i need to try?? Any of the above now best avoided?

I read that restaurant Llenarie has changed hands again....are there still two restaurants on the corner?? (fond memories...my first trip was with a 9 month old staying at the Galeon...a walk back from the port in the evening followed by coffee and cake at Llenarie )

thanks in advance

Hi Danm, yes all the places you mention are still here. I think the place you refer to near the Pollensa Park might be Ikebana, you enter through a lovely garden, it's run by Ana Cati and her husband Jose does the cooking .
Hope you enjoy your holiday .

Firstly, lucky you being so close to Can Cuarassa, beautiful restaurant! Yes, there are still two restaurants on the corner in Llenaire, although "Llenaire" is now Swing, check out the link
http://www.forum.puertopollensa.com/...html#post84608 for a few write ups. The other one next door, Siurell, (always get the spelling wrong, but you know where it is!) is still going strong too. The old favourites you mention are still there, and a lot more besides! Have fun finding and exploring them all!

Speaking of the 2" Llanaire " restaurants, does anyone know why after all these years they took most of their front away and laid a pavement through it.

Removing that wonderful whale bone in the process. Such a pity.

I think this may have been done by the council not the restaurants to make that corner safer.

The area that was used for the path had plants in it so they have not lost any space, people walked through one restaurant to get to the other before.

You're right PP76. It was becoming a bit awkward to get round/through, as both restaurants were spreading out further and further! A lot tidier now and safer for buggies too.
