Apologies if this establishment has been mentioned elsewhere on this forum recently, but it is attracting rave reviews on Trip Advisor. Am I right in thinking it's in the square on the same side and a couple of doors down from Bar Cultural?

If that is indeed the case, is it as good as the TA reports would suggest?

Yep you are correct, that is the very place. If I recall correctly it was Makassar last year or the year before.
In my opinion, the service was very slow but very friendly which sort of made up for the lack of speed. Food was a let down for both of us, I had the lamb and the missus had some fish with both dishes being not to our liking.
That said, it, s just one opinion and to be honest, we would probably try it again next year to give it a second chance.

Slapped wrist for me.

Last night we wanted to go somewhere that we had not tried before and booked a table in Osteria N15, so after battling through severe wind and torrential rain we were blown in the door, the restaurant was quiet (only 4 others) but that was understandable in that weather.
It was lovely and warm and i like the decor also the covered chill-out area at the rear, we had an appetiser of smoked salmon (on the house) shared a starter of mixed cold meats, parmesan and grapes which we ate with some very nice olive bread and butter, glad we opted to share this as it was huge. Mains were lamb and fillet steak with goats cheese both served with fresh vegetables and all cooked perfectly, we had a bottle of Albarino and coffees. The service was spot on and the bill was 76€, not exactly cheap but in our opinion worth every cent :D.

So glad to hear it has upped its game since it first opened. It had all the makings of a very good restaurant, but it had many complaints to start with, from quality of meat, bills being incorrect and very poor service. This was in relatively high season, and probably everyone wanted to try it out, so they were overwhelmed on some counts. Sounds as if it has made some great steps forward though, and we look forward to giving it another try now! ;)

Just back from a wonderful evening in Osteria, the restaurant is really nice and the staff are extremely friendly, combine that with great quality food and this restaurant has gone straight into our top three along with Club Nautica and la llonja, well worth visiting!:)
