Default Not exactly a full report but ..

Not exactly a trip report but just a few comments I felt worth noting on the food and drinks front.

El Posito : Excellent as always. Nice to meet you again Sparky.
Osteria 15 : Good food, great setting in the square, service a little slow. Seemed like plenty of staff as well. Maybe just inexperienced.
Trencadora : Excellent lunch in a beautiful shady setting. Great to visit this old favourite again.
Bodeguita : What can I say. If you haven’t had lunch here you don’t know what you are missing. Fabulous value and quality.
Laguna : The return of Miguel ! Excellent in all aspects. Nothing more needs to be said.
El Casinet : Strange one this. Felt like having a pizza, not something I have very often. When it arrived complete with incinerated paper all over the base, we were informed that’s they cook it !
Stay : If you’re only going to have partridge ravioli followed by kidneys in sherry once a year, that the place to have it. Excellent. I know a few of you good folks think it’s over-rated, but as a last night treat, just under 40 quid each for three courses, wines, coffees, brandies, etc I don’t think that’s too bad. I can certainly think of a few “celebrity chef” venues that aren’t a patch on Stay and cost more.
Ambrosia : A very friendly wee place with a simple menu but great value.
Pepe’s : As usual the full fatboy spread hit the spot one particularly hazy ( me, not the weather! ) morning. I blame Rafa’s G&Ts for the haze.

Oh, and good luck to Juan in Aniaras. Hope it’s a success.
