Default Olive oil and the law.

It looks like the condiment set on every restaurant table and bar will soon be missing one item. For details read Andrew's blog here alcudiapollensa .

So, From the very first time oil was put on tables, it's taken them all those decades to come up with that concern. Someone give me strength. You can bet it's origins lie somewhere in the depths of those overpaid beaurocrats in, all together now, " The Common Market "

Yes i think it is absolutely ridiculous and i just can't see how it will work. Will every producer of oil have to supply it in sachets or tiny bottles like miniatures for the catering sector, this of course will come with a cost, not just financial but also there will be more packaging to dispose of which will impact on the environment. Sauce sachets and individual butter tubs are a pet hate of mine .
I really do wonder about the sanity of some "law makers" whatever their nationality .

Yes indeed, You could not make it up. The disgraceful state of the Spanish economy and unemployment. Hmmm, what shall we do. Ahh, I know. Lets do away with the olive oil on tables. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Its the workings of the Terminally Stupid. I'm off now to lie down in a dark room with a damp towel over my steaming head.

PS, and another thing. Its cold here and It doing nothing to improve my mood
