Pollensa Town restaurants

Apologies if there is already a thread on this.
We only ever tend to go into the old town on market day for some after market tapas at C'an Calvari but have seen some lovely looking restaurants in the backstreets.
Can anyone recommend decent one that serves decent food?

Clivia is my favourite restaurant in Pollensa.

Definitely worth a visit.

So many good restaurants in Pollensa it's well worth going a few times if you can. The atmosphere is very different from a busy market day and the square is really buzzing in the summer months.

My favourites are Cantonet..Turn left at the cockerel statue and it is at the top of the hill.The terrace by the church is fabulous with beautiful views over the town. The best fresh ravioli with amazing fillings but also great meat and fish dishes.

Ca'n Teresa and Il Giardino, both in the square, are also fabulous and there is a wonderful ambience in both places and the food is sublime.

Trencadora has a lovely garden setting although as Mark said it's not one you'd stumble across. If you're in the square with the church in the left corner walk down the road on the opposite corner. You will hear the sound of a water feature before you get to the restaurant on your left.

Trencadora is probably my favourite too - especially their MDD, which is great value. I'd also recommend La Fonda for Mallorcan cuisine (especially good fish), and El Moli on the outskirts of the town - you need to book if coming on a Sunday though as it gets v. busy. They do a great Sunday lunch (for that matter, a great lunch any day of the week).

On the square as you enter Pollensa (the one with landscaping surrounded by parked cars) is Scacco Matte, a very good Italian - obviously it doesn't have the scenic location but the food is excellent. Their buffet lunch will provide you with more food than you can possibly eat and is (from memory) either 10 or 12E.

Spira which is just across from the chemist s you enter the market square also does good food.

Guys and gals, thanks a million all of you for your suggestions. Really want to make more of the old town this year as it deserves more than a sunday morning stroll staring at beautiful crafts and massive vegetables.
Trencadora sounds splendid. I will do some research.

One also to consider if you fancy an evening in Pollensa Old Town (please do this - It is a totally different experience to the Port) is El Brio.

Although off the main square, in a little square of its own, they do a great set-menu, at a very good price. Not big portions, but what it is, is very nicely done.

Leave the top of the market square, heading through the alley to the right of the church. Follow it to the right and right again and eventually it brings you to a little square with the old fountain with a cockerel, called Placa Almoina.

Superb menu of the day, which is very well priced and uses very high quality ingredients. Lovely location to sit outside, and whilst not as busy as the main square, so very traditional and relaxing.

Not huge portions, and probably not one for younger children, but well worth it.

Perhaps have your meal here, and then walk down to the main square for a drink? You can enjoy the same atmosphere, but it is much cheaper than the "tourist prices" that you can pay in the square.

If you are staying in the Port, certainly make a point of going to both Pollensa and the old town of Alcudia in the evening. Both are beautiful, with a huge choice of restaurants and a different atmosphere to the port.

Exactly where is it ?

On average how much would it be for a three course and nice wine please.

Clivia is just along from the taxi rank in Pollensa, near to Sirroco shoe shop.

Regarding price I think it would be on par with La Llonja.
