Alcanada

Our lovely village, Alcanada, is featured in today's Mallorca Bulletin as the photo of the day.

We have lived here for 14 years and love it. It is quiet, with beautiful views and very few tourists. It is where the Spanish go at the weekend for picnics under the trees on the beach.

It is perhaps best known to many for La Terrezza, an expensive good restaurant with wonderful views. The other feature is the golf course, supposedly one of the best on the island and owned by the Porsche family.

Thanks for that. I agree that Alcanada is a beautiful spot. I've played the golf course on numerous occasions and it is the best I have played on the island and I believe it's meant to be one of the best in Spain itself. There are many wonderful places away from PP that I should visit more often and Alcanada is definitely one of them.

I was a marshal at the golf club for around a year in 2006. Beautiful and free golf ️

I'm a golfer and despite owning a house in PP, have yet to actually play golf in Mallorca. I hope to play both Pollensa and Alcanada in 2020 though.

Basically, I play golf every week at home, so my trips to Mallorca are to do something different.
