Exclamation Walking to Alcudia with wheelchair

While we are talking about walks etc. could anyone help me and tell me how far it is to walk from pine walk area into Alcudia Old town. My husband is a full time wheelchair user and we were thinking of hiring an electric scooter and just taking of along the coast. Is this easily done. We will of course be stopping of for the odd refreshment

We have walked from PP to Alcudia a couple of times, it's about 6km and took us well over an hour. For the most part, there is no pavement and you have to use the lane allocated to bikes, which is not that safe. Without being a killjoy, I would not recommend a wheelchair as the road gets quite busy and at times some of the overtaking at high speed causes the vehicles to use all of the road. In fact, just looked at the map, it's 8km to the old town.

I would agree with Tonsyl it is a very busy road, and there are hardly any places to stop for a drink.

I would seriously advise against it, it is not a very safe stretch of road.

Thank you for all your replies, i should have looked at the map. I went with my daughter on the bus last year and i didnt think it seemed that far. What do I know I am only a woman You saved me getting into bother off my husband. I will have to just sit on the beach instead. Roll on the end of July.

Actually that post was a new one that was posted as a reply to yours. I just moved it to a separate thread so that it was more obvious for people to find. So no need to apologise at all.
