I don't know but there is a fishing tackle shop in C/Mestrel (around the corner from the camera shop) they have a vending machine for bait outside. You might get info about trips in there.

being a keen angler myself i too have been on the hunt for fishing trips out of pp

the tackle shop advertises many fishing charters out of the port but the prices are between 200 and 400 euro per person, way out of my price range for a days sport

i tend to end up buying a cheap telescopic rod a bit of tackle and a loaf of bread and just do a bit of mullet fishing in the marina

anyone know of any local fishermen that are willing to take tourists out at a more realitic rate?

Smile Fishing trips

Having fished in PP for many years, sea fishing trips have only been available in the last few years and I have to agree that they are very expensive for what they are.

I, like many others, make do with fishing from the jettys with carefully researched bread!! (not too hard - not too soft). My wife has spent many hours in the supermarket with me, wondering why it takes so long to buy a loaf of bread and a french stick just for the fish!! (she doesn't understand).

A word of caution. Since 2007 the guardia civil have been checking to see if you have a valid licence to sea fish. For 15 years I had fished without knowing that a licence was required. Since 2007 I have had a licence. Details of how to purchase one can be seen on a previous post from me. It's a long winded process but after being quized by an arrogant gun toting guard the effort is worth it!

Tight lines!
