Default Tossals Verds Circuit

For those walkers amongst you who have access to a car when in Mallorca you may want to try this fabulous walk. Approx 13KM, 4 hours.

The 'Tossals Verds circuit' was followed using 'Walk Mallorca North and Mountains' by Charles Davis.
It's a circular walk which starts by walking along the Cuber reservoir but that's where the easy walking ends. The second part of the walk involves descending a steep and rock strewn path, passing through 4 tunnels!! A torch is required. The last tunnel was flooded when we did the walk, we had the choice of crawling on the water pipe or taking off our shoes and socks! We chose the latter, the water was freezing but only came up to our ankles thank goodness.
Shortly after the tunnels is a steep lane to the Tossals Verds refuge, and thereafter the ascent continues along a very stony trail. I didnt't have boots on , only walking shoes: I felt every stone, be warned.
The views are fantastic, you are looking over the back of Alaro here, we had a fine November day and could see for miles.

The last part of the walk follows the canaleta which reminded us of a lazy river at a water park! Had we had a lilo it would have been an easy float back to the car!!
A super walk, never a dull moment, but remember your thick soled boots/shoes.
