Default Plan to stop public access to Cap Formentor

Whilst out in PP recently I read in TOTN about the plan to stop public access to Cap Formentor & create a park & ride shuttle service from new bus station in PP.

As a keen walker who frequently enjoys fantastic walks in the Na Blanca/El Fumat/Cala Murta/Gossaba....areas I was wondering whether the car park near the tunnel along that road will still be accessible, or indeed the now very expensive car park at Formentor beach.

I asked in the council office & the lady there confirmed the plan but had no idea on the details as to where/when/how this closure would be achieved.

Maybe the shuttle service could be a request drop off/pick up service for those of us that want to visit the many walks in this area but not travel to lighthouse, as the walk from the town to these places is unattainable.

Anyone out there got 'inside' info to shed more light on this?

No but I too would hope that the proposed bus will stop along the route as I don't like taking our car along that road and parking along the orad has always been a nightmare.
I'd assume that there would be more than a point to point (Port to Cap) service.

According to MDB the mayor of Pollensa has announced that the shuttle bus will not now start until 2019.
