We recieved a new brochure from the travel club through the post on Friday there was a note in the introduction stating that they have been bought over but are still trading as the Travel Club of Upminster. Looking in the brochure certainly some of the accomodation that has been in previous brochures has disappeared and the accomodation they are now offering is much reduced not just for Mallorca.
We had been trying to book the Maricel Apartments with them all through Oct and Nov last year and they continually told us their brochure was not yet available and they had no firm prices , we thought this was very strange and were wary of booking with them particularly in the current economic climate. They must have known they were being bought over however gave us no indication of this despite us speaking to them by telephone on several occasions , in the end we got so fed up waiting we contacted the Hotel Miramar direct who own the Maricel to enquire if we could book direct with them and we did so. Hope everything is ok with the travel club and they are successful they had a good reputation within Pollensa.
