Default Restaurants open in February

arriving this time tomorrow, Feb 1st for a week of birthday celebrations, involving mostly things ending in ING
including eating, drinking, sleeping, eating, walking, drinking, reading, shopping, talking, and perhaps some more eating and drinking, as long as there is slimline tonic for mrs smiddy of course
so sure that some of our favourite eateries are gearing up for our visit

usually frequent Naciente, nice log fire
O'Lume likewise and of course El Posito
among others
any other recommendations welcome

:lol :b :b :b

Happy Birthday Smiddy,

Sorry we'll miss you again but back at the end of Feb, will you be going to the Barca v Bhoys match on the 4th March ?

Get Toni to close Posito for the night and we'll take the ferry !!!!!

Enjoy O' Lume and El Posito.

Default Restaurants open in February

Thanks for the good wishes folks! We had a wonderful time. Unfortunately El Posito upgrading and are not opening till a later later this month. But, O Lume and Los Faroles kept us very happy. Jaime even gave me a part-time job of stocking the log fire:lol Weather seemed to be borrowed from May/June!

As some of you may or may not know Mr & Mrs Smiddy share the same birthday (Feb 1st), well last night were dining in another little gem of a restaurant, Hibiscus, only one other couple were there and it came up in the conversation about birthdays and it transpired the ladies birthday was also 1st Feb, three quarters of the evenings clientle all had the same birthday, amazing.

BL, Yes planning to head over to Barcelona to see the bhoys, from what i saw of them on Sun i'm beginning to think we've got a chance:smokin Trying to coax Toni to visit Glasgow for the 1st game, he's thinking about it

Thanks to this website I now know and like O Lume (fried milk oh yes ). But where is Los Faroles? From what I've read it's on the beach front - would really appreciate it if someone could tell me more.

Smiddy, if you are talking to Toni, tell him Mark, the Edinburgh 'Cule' will be at Celtic Park for the Barca game. I have a seat in the Barca section as always.

Hi guys,

please try & keep this thread on track. There is Jane's wonderful Tapas Bar - now yuku'd for footie chat.

Los Faroles is on the front beyond the Marina i.e. towards Alcudia - more or less opposite the car park (I think!). I think it & Brisa Marina are owned by same people & specialise in fresh fish.

Fried Milk is a dessert. The O Lume version is a bit like a sort of firm lemon flavoured custard with a crispy coating. I have found a recipe for it at the address below, but have no idea if thats how O Lume make theirs:

Isn't Hibiscus on the opposite corner to Neptune's tapas, just coming into the square? Or am I completely confused!
