Freezer/Ice Packs

Hi,

Would anyone know whether I can pick up the blue freezer packs/ice blocks that I can freeze and put in a cooler box please?

I'm guessing the Chinese shop will stock these (and I have some, probably ill-informed, memory of the hire shop doing these?) but would like to know for definite as otherwise I can pick a few up before my holiday and bring them out.

TIA:)

Widely available in the port.

Multi Hire has an ice block included with the Cool Box rental (see Beach Hire on their website). Doesn't mention ice blocks separately, but worth sending them an e-mail.

All the supermarkets tend to sell them too.

Thanks All - appreciated.

or just buy a bag of ice from the supermarket and then you have some ice for the G&T:D

Hmmmmmmm...upgraded question!

Anyone know if the chinese shops sell Cool Boxes? In all honesty, we'll pop into the chinese shop anyway for a browse! Also, they sell (or did previously) the strangest range of hatwear so I get the kids to pick their favourite and get a pic with them

Yes, but you get what you pay for....some much better than others

I got a 30 ltr cool box from the one near Flora for €23. I've used it several times now and the handle is still on and it keeps stuff cool.

Thanks GG - really good info that.

It probably costs about €20 euro to hire one for 2 weeks. I may as well buy one and then drop it into the charity shop on our last day

Hi Bobley,

If I go for the option of buying one (which I'm pretty sure I will) then I'll happily donate this/ice packs to you when I'm due to leave.

I'll PM you closer to the time to arrange

Cheers
