Default Where to dhobi?

As our departure date approaches, suitcases are being dusted off and proposed contents selected/discarded/replaced.
Just a thought that came up in discussions - is there a DIY washerteria (the spell checker has given up on this word) or laundry in PP?

No there isn't a DIY but there are a few laundries and they don't charge the earth .

Ideal is one of them and they are listed here http://www.puertopollensa.com/localservices.html.

This was on Laundromats in Alcudia - Port d'Alcudia Message Board - TripAdvisor:

"There is a launderette at the Sunwing resort that is open to the public. Unfortunately there are only 2 washers and one dryer, but it's better than nothing! "
and....
" The launderette is not in the main resort, but in a section called the Princessa ( or Princess?), which is right next door closer to the Port direction.

The cost is 3 euros per load. They also have an ironing board and iron set up in there."

Taken from Wikipedia :-

Quote:
Dhobi (English: washerman) is a caste group primary belong to India and Pakistan and are said to specialized in washing clothes.[2] The word Dhobi is derived from the Hindi word dhona, which means to wash. They are found throughout North India, Gujarat, Maharashtra as well as the Punjab province of Pakistan, where they are known as Gazar.[3] A dhobi is likely to be of many different origins, with those whose ancestors took the occupation of washing clothes evolving over time into a distinct caste bound by rules of endogamy. Most Dhobis follow the customs and traditions of the region they live, so for example those in North India speak Hindi, while those in Maharashtra speak Marathi.[4][5]The Dhobi rank themselves highest among the scheduled castes, and number around 19.2 million (Census of India 2001
