Default New Photos at Flickr.com

Dear all,

with the kind help of Rob we now have a facility to upload & share our photos (on Pollensa of course).

It is a bit fiddly so I've set up this forum in order to help you use it. Hopefully Rob & anyone else who gets the hang of it will help out.

Basically we have created a Private group on www.flickr.com This site is now owned by Yahoo so you will need to sign-up to yahoo to use it. The Group is at www.flickr.com/groups/pollensaforum/ but you will need a logon & be a member of the group to access it.

Once you have a flickr id (please use the same as on the forum) you will both be able to upload your photos for your own use & share them with friends, family & insert them into your posts AND join the 'Pollensa Forum' Group where you can view the group's photos & add your own if you choose to.

Further instructions below.

So thank you Rob.

Can I just say a big "Thank you" to Rob who, with amazing patience, talked us through the process of adding photos to the Flickr site last night.

It must have been very frustrating for him dealing with me late last night, via chat, but we got there in the end!

The site is fantastic - a really great addition to the website and the forum and I would urge people to go take a look and ask to join up. It's great seeing other people's photos on there and really adds to the sense of community I feel on here.

Well done Rob and thanks again!
Jane

Pollensa,

What about us all voting for the best 12 photos and then seeing if we can get the "shop" to make and sell a calender

Probably need to make sure the owner of the phooto is cool about it bing used and that we don't include ones of people without their permission

just a thought

I'm glad both Jiggy and Timberman have found the new section to be so much fun.
I'm looking forward to seeing both your photographs.
I heard a comment in the room the other night about the new section it went somehting like this:

J: what do you think of the photo section "S"?
S: It's great! cant wait to add my photogrphs
J: Yes it is now we'll all be going to PP and taking pictures with the Photo forum in mind

I for one look forward to seeing these photographs. I for one would be really interested in seing photographs that show the changes that have taken place in PP over the past 40 odd years. If you have any old pictures/postcards why not scan them and add them to the Photo Forum. i'm sur I'm not the only one that would be interested in seeing them.

Take care.

Rob

Val send me your e-mail address and I'll send you an invitation.
Any one else who wishes to "Join" the Photograph section of the forum, simply send your e-mail address to me or Pollensa, we will ensure that you are sent an invitation to join to your e-mail address. You must do the same as Val and sign up for a yahoo account.
Can I ask that ONLY if you can't have the same screen name as you use on the forum then you try adding "_PP" to your flikr screen name. You DON'T have to add _PP to your flickr screen name if you can have the same screen name as on the forum. Is that as clear as mud?:rollin
