Default Super League!

Hi All,

We are out in PP in May and I was wondering if anyone can tell me if any of the bars will show televised Engage Super League rugby matches? My nephew plays for the Wakefield Wildcats and they are on TV whilst we are away and my Mum desperately wants to catch the game!!! I understand that there is now a sports bar in the Port but I am not sure how popular Rugby League is and if the games would be shown.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sue x.

Hi Sue,

I would say JK's would be your best bet, although there will be other bars which will be covering all if not most of the Super League games as well. I am pretty sure it will be on in JK’s but if its not ask a member of staff and they will put it on for you.

Regards,

Puertokid

Sue, As has been stated, Jk's and the Sports Bar may have it. My son was over last summer and managed to get some obscure pre-season friendlies involving his team, the guy in the SB was very helpful and messed about with the channels till he got them. Don't be afraid to go in and ask if they can get it for you.

Thank you all for your responses. My Mum is not backwards in coming forwards so no doubt she will find somewhere to watch it!

Can Balache is another option as is Cafe Bon Dia, Palms and Roy's Bar but they are at the other end of the Port, it just depends on how far you are willing to travel Sue.

Suemo - I think he was just glad to talk to someone about the right shaped balls

Puertokid - if he supported the dark side I wouldn't have crossed his threshold

Hi Suemo, i spoke to Mark in JK's yesterday and he said they will be showing it but if there is a footy match on that more people want to watch you will have to view it without the sound.

Please can anyone let me know if they see any of the rugby league play off games advertised in the bars for next weekend?
I come over on Wednesday and there is a game I really need to see on Sunday at 6.15pm. I was always fine going in JKs on my own to watch the rugby but don't know where to go now it is shut...

ther is a little bar almost opposite the pollensa park hotel next door to the spar, dont know wht its called and I haven't been there recently, but the guy who runs it is into rugby league ,he is a northerner and he always has it on and seems very knowledgeable about it , I got the impression he may have played a lot..
Apologies about being a bit vague about the name , maybe someone else will know who I mean..
its only a little place but has the big screens, havent been there this year tho

I think you mean Bondia, they show all sports, and JK's most of you will know has now closed, but we called in to see Kev in his new location in the old Trotters bar now called BarMed. The bar is looking smart now and shows all major events and if you call in they will give you a great welcome and will I'm show be able to help you see what you want to watch.
