Default Spanish Lessons

We have seen previous postings on this subject but do not know where to find them - isn't that always the way !

Myself and my wife are over in September and were wondering about attending a weeks intensive Spanish course to get us started.

If anyone has any advice on where to attend courses, or feedback on courses undertaken - along with telephone numbers or other points of contact, we would be really grateful.
We have read that courses take place in Pollensa at the ?town hall?

Muchas gracia - and au revoir !!!

Mrs Sud.

Hola Mrs Sud,

The only post I found which had some information was one that was posted 2 years ago and the course took place in Palma.

I'm not sure if the details are relevant but here it is anyway:

Hope this helps!

Get 'One Day Spanish' by Elisabeth Smith.
In the UK you can pick it up at Tesco online for £5.25 or just Google it. Will cost far less than a weeks lessons and is amazingly easy to get you talking and understood in a week.

Thanks again.

Hi, the Town Hall does run a Spanish course in the winter in Pollensa. It runs from about mid October until May and is either free or as little as 6€. This maybe the one you've heard about?

Hablo solo un poco español pero Puedo sobrevivir.
I think that's correct?
I started off by using One Day Spanish before I visited Mallorca last year and once you find you can get understood it makes you want to learn more.
For the last year I have done so in my spare time travelling to work, sitting in the bath etc and its amazing how you start to pick it up with repetition.
At first it seems daunting and you think you'll never do it, but keep at it and you'll find one you master the basics i.e THIS .. THAT .. AND .. I CAN ... WE ARE ... I WANT/WOULD LIKE .. HE/SHE .. I HAVE .. YOU HAVE etc etc etc.
it will become simple. Then it will be a matter of just building up a vocabulary of words that is basically never ending.
Just remember to keep at it.
