Default In praise of Inca Hospital.

As some of you will already know my Colin had an accident and we spent most of yesterday in Inca Hospital, he dislocated and fractured his shoulder. In the A&E department he was seen promptly and once he had had his x rays had to wait a while until the orthopedic surgeon decided what needed to be done, that meant going to theatre but the doctor explained everything really well. After the procedure Colin woke up surrounded by (in his words) 6 gorgeous nurses , i am not complaining because i got to spend a bit of time with the dishy doctor . Colin will be in a sling for 6 weeks but he is not in any pain today.

I would like to say that all the staff in the hospital were brilliant and they all spoke good English which made it so much easier. I hope none of you ever need to use the hospital, but if you do, don't worry you will be in very good hands .

Your report about Inca, is, I am sure, very reassuring to all us visitors.
And of course it's that time of year so....... Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to Colin and yourself Lynne.

Best wishes for a quick recovery. Over the years our family have used the hospital on two occasions and had excellent care.

Thanks Mark but i do the dishes and he is ambidextrous when supping vino is involved . I hate shopping but we can withstand a siege at the moment so i can put that new chore on hold for a couple of days, however i have had a completely new experience tonight......the first time ever that i have given a man shave, no, before you ask it wasn't with a razor , i opted for the safety of an electric shaver, actually did a pretty good job .

It's really good to know that Inca Hospital is great in an emergency. Did they accept the E HIC card? .
So pleased Colin out of pain as his injury is one of the most painful to have. Best Wishes to you both.

Yes thank you Anne, he doesn't have any pain he is just a bit sore from all the pushing and pulling needed to put the shoulder back in.

They do accept the E-HIC with your passport, a tourist came in while we were there and used theirs .

Oooer Matron!!!!.

I think he would prefer the 6 gorgeous real nurses who were standing around him when he came round in the recovery room .

Sparky, many thanks for posting this. It's really good to get such a first-hand (and reliable!) review of Inca Hospital.

I have to say, though, that it's above and beyond for Colin to go to all those lengths for our benefit! I hope his recuperation involves some more pleasurable "testing"
