Default Has the season started?

Hi,
We are a couple in the UK at the moment but looking to come over to Puerto Pollensa for the summer. We were in Alcudia last year but now wanting to be in Puerto Pollensa for the summer and beyond depending. I was just wondering how the season is looking. Are there still apartments available to rent at a reasonable price and what is the work situation like? My partner is an electrician/maintenance engineer and good all rounder and I am able to clean apartments, villas, pubs etc. If anyone can give me an update that would be great. Thanks, Jacky

I am sure you will still find apartments available to rent. On the job front the situation here is similar to the UK with local people finding it difficult to get work or the season being shortened and less wages.

For long term apartment rental do try the local agents on the main website Rent Villas, Apartments from Agents in Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca Majorca

I don't know how it will be in Pto Pollensa this year but in general the recession & unemployment is much worse in Spain than the UK. In addition there are likely to be less tourists this year due the situation in the UK & the Euro exchange rate.

The best option is to come out for a few days & ask around for work/accommodation.
