Default Local Cleaner for Villa

I am looking to employ a local person to clean and look after a villa throughout the Summer season. Rather than pay a big company to do the job I would prefer to use a local person who perhaps even does this part time in one of the hotels out there. Any clues where I could best source this person or are there any websites with local people looking for work?

Please be forewarned that even if you do find someone, you will be obliged to employ her or him legally i.e. through the system and pay their Social Security stamps if they are not self employed which they no doubt will not be.

You will also have to pay them a pro-rata for holiday pay, etc, etc, etc.

Yes, I know that a lot of people have a daily help and that a lot of them are not insured, but the day they have an accident or have a difference of opinion with you and denounce you, will make you wish you had never bought the villa in the first place.

Up to you.

Good advice. We used a cleaning office in the Port, not particularly cheap, but much less stress
