Hotel Capri

Hi, i've booked a room with the Capri in May to get away from rainy Ipswich and was wondering if anybody has stayed there recently and could tell me a little of what to expect there, i heard they were looking at installing a/c units in the room....can anyone tell me if this is the case or not?

They're doing it now, the hotel hasn't opned yet but they have started getting all the piping ready

That's just what this little hotel needs. Do you think they will do a refurb? We stayed there a few years back - clean but basic but in desperate need of a/c.

We popped in last year when we saw that they had improved the balconies. Good news if they are thinking of doing it up.

Hi everyone, well i'm back and refreshed from my holiday. I can confirm that the hotel has got air conditioning now and that i enjoyed my stay there very much. As has already been mentioned the hotel is very clean and the rooms a bit on the basic side of things but for a place your only using as a base to sleep at for a week or two i thought it was great value. Hot running water perfect sea view from my third floor balcony, pleasent enough whilst not spectacular breakfast. All in all very good value for the price.

A great place to have a drink and watch the world go by..................also v nice sat on the end of their pontoon................one of my fav places !!!!

I rhink it must be in new hands.....they've certainly made some changes and speeded up their service.
