Bed & Breakfast
We always watch the Place in the Sun progs for a bit of escapism and a lot of people head to France to run B & B's or Gites, but no one ever seems to do that in Spain. I suppose its a lot to do with the fact that people drive through France but tend to fly to Spain/Mallorca etc.
Anyway...my question is, do people run B & B's in Puerto Pollensa or do the Hotels grab all of the people who might do that? Is it possible to run a B & B in Mallorca for say 6 month of the year? It would overcome the rental issue if you didn't have a licence for your house/Villa wouldn't it? We would have the room to do it and it might be a good way to generate some extra income in the years ahead, so just wondering if anyone has knowledge of these things? TIA  |
I wish you could. It was be ideal for me. You would need a tourist licence I imagine and you can't get one

You all need to be remineded that you have invested on an island that has the nickname of " Sicily without the guns"...... ie...... the alleged mafia in the form of hotel owners and prominent families will always win.
PP used to have a thriving British bar scene which opened all year round ..... slowly it has been closed down although most of the bars still exist in the form of store rooms for the hotels !!!!! |
